Taxes
1. Deductions and Incentives
  • Our party promises to reimburse states that give incentives to people who have homes with a renewable energy source.
  • Homes which use less water, less gas, energy efficient lighting, solar panels, and other renewable energy sources will be given a property tax credit on their homes by their state, which will be reimbursed by the federal government.
  • Higher tax rates on cars that get under 20 miles per gallon, regular state tax on cars with between 20 and 40 miles per gallon, and a significantly lower tax on cars with above 40 miles to the gallon in order to protect the atmosphere and encourage citizens to buy hybrids and/or electric automobiles.

2. Allocation of funds
  • We promise that favorable amounts will go to social security, Health insurance, and research through new renewable resources.
  • We do not spend as much on defense because peace is the best defense, yet money is still invested in this category in order to help other countries and protect ourselves from any type of invasion in the U.S.
  • It is also important to help education, and The Democratic Eco Party is going to do their best to provide 15% of taxes collected for education.

3. Who Gets Taxed
  • The People with Renewable energy in their homes will get taxed less for income tax because they are contributing less to global warming.
  • People without renewable energy homes will get taxed regularly.
  • The current tax structure on employment wages will stay the same except the top 1% earning more than one million dollars per year will pay 2% higher taxes which is still 4% lower than ten years ago.
